Our Last Summer: A Personal Memoir

I have spent much of my life moving from one country to another. My family left India and moved to Cairo, Egypt when I was around 10 years old. I would complete my elementary and middle school education at Cairo American College.

We would then move to Khartoum, Sudan where I would complete my secondary education at Khartoum American School (K.A.S). My experience at K.A.S. and Sudan as a whole encapsulates some of the most formative years of my life.

In the years to follow after my departure from Sudan, I would pull together a memoir, dedicated to my friends and family, where I detailed all the moments I had cherished during my time there.

From long-lasting friendships to bittersweet farewells and onward to greater beginnings, Our Last Summer: A Personal Memoir is a window to my past and to warm, sunny days when the world felt so much smaller, and I spent my time lost in thought, laughter, and conversation with my close friends under the shade of a tree in our school garden.

Our Last Summer: A Personal Memoir is now available for purchase on Amazon and Kindle.
